I was losing space on the c drive of my laptop, and found that over 2 gigs was being taken up by Windows Desktop Search, and as far as I know, it keeps accumulating over time, as it keeps indexing. No other program needs Windows Desktop Search to run, so there are no worries about uninstalling it.
I removed it and got back over 2.7GB of space!
To remove it, do this (in Windows XP):

Young entrepreneurs are close to my heart, as I used to be one (I still am, actually!
). So, I have chosen to support the National Foundation of Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), as they do a great job of teaching kids from low income communities how to start, run, fund, and market their own business. This knowledge is invaluable to kids, as it keeps them off the streets and gives them a purpose in life, which we all need.
So, this weekend, through Tuesday, I am donating 10% of all proceeds to NFTE. Be a part of supporting our young entrepreneurs, as they are the future lifeblood of our country, by having your computer needs met. It’s for a great cause!
